7月27日，温氏集团总公司副总经理邹先华、永州分公司总经理朱伟雄一行到祁阳县三口塘镇考察项目建设，并就建立祁阳县分公司、种猪场用地选址和布局进行了深入调研。
温氏集团创立于1983年，由七户农民集资8000元起步，现已发展成一家以畜禽养殖为主跨地区发展的现代大型畜牧企业集团。目前，温氏集团已在全国23个省(市、自治区)建成170多家一体化公司，集团现有合作家庭农场5.28万户，员工约4万人。2014年，温氏集团上市肉猪1218万头、肉鸡6.97亿只、肉鸭1699万只，实现销售收入380亿元。
考察团一行深入三口塘镇丝塘村，就温氏集团祁阳分公司建设、种猪场基地建设、配套设施建设用地等事项进行了实地考察，详实了解了丝塘村的区域优势和县、镇招商引资的有关政策。通过调研，温氏集团代表对三口塘镇丝塘村的投资环境十分满意，拟在丝塘村建立祁阳分公司及占地面积1000亩的种猪场，项目总投资2.5亿元，项目建成后，可容纳种猪4000余头，年出栏猪仔10万余头。
